Carlton Riverside Restaurant is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Wales. The AA once again gave Carlton Riverside their prestigious Two-Rosette Restaurant award in 2016. We are recommended by The AA Restaurant Guide 2017, The Michelin Guide 2017 and The Good Food Guide 2017. Luke Robert's cooking is highly praised by the Good Food Guide in their 2017 edition.

There are two lounges furnished with large squishy sofas and coffee tables where you can relax, play board games if it rains, or enjoy a drink from our comprehensively stocked bar. Here you can peruse the menu or read a cookery book, hundreds of which feature hugely on our bookshelves, before moving on to the Restaurant itself which overlooks the River Irfon and is decorated in a contemporary style. The restaurant features polished wood tables, lovely Welsh slate table mats, generous linen napkins and a large picture window which affords a view of the river and the old stone bridge, beyond which lies the town green.

THE CHEF
Luke Roberts, who started at Carlton Riverside over five years ago under the watchful eye of Mary Ann, is the head chef here now. Throughout the five years he has exceeded expectations and developed into a skilled, exciting new chef whose flare for good, honest food has gained him 2 AA Rosettes, and a highly complementary entry in the Good Food Guide, after just a year at the helm. His food packs a punch and his delicate presentation is a marvel for the eye. You can expect high quality ingredients cooked to tantalise the taste buds.

THE RESTAURANT MANAGER (Front of House):
Rosie Jeffreys is the Front of House at Carlton Riverside. Service with smile is a guarantee and nothing is ever too much trouble so just ask! Rosie has many years of experience in hospitality, and along with her partner Luke they are now the proprietors of Carlton Riverside.

THE WINE LIST
We have a carefully selected winelist of more than 80 bins, overseen by Alan Gilchrist, which features wines from all corners of the globe to compliment Luke's cooking. We also list around 20 half bottles, which is very useful if you each enjoy different wines, or can't quite manage a full bottle!

House wines are 16.95 per bottle; wines by the glass from 4.50
